I have already made it clear that Patreon is an amazing platform that creators can rely on, especially if advertising revenue fluctuates — which it tends to do quite often. But what exactly makes Patreon a reliable route to take?
To put it simply, the community makes it reliable. When you can rely on the support from others and the pledges they’re promising to make, that speaks volume. Sure, things may change for a variety of reasons, but the difference is usually nothing compared to primarily relying on advertising to earn a living. By today’s standards, it’s just not realistic.
It’s important to remember that you are connecting with real people. They are giving you time out of their day to support you financially.
Remind yourself to thank your supporters for everything they have done. It’s exactly why I commit to posting my monthly Patreon Updates. Sometimes I still find it hard to believe that doing what I do is considered a job, and not a day goes by that I don’t feel grateful.
If you are not currently running a Patreon campaign and you happened to come across this post, then I recommend giving this a read: How to Launch a Successful Patreon Campaign

I’m not exaggerating when I say this, but Patreon has quite literally changed my life for the better. I can’t imagine a world without it.
